Main Features

The strength and oxidation resistance of MA-X proves to be good at temperatures up to 1200°C. It also has excellent formability and weldability. Since MA-X has excellent resistance to oxidizing, reducing and neutral atmospheres, its utilization in heating furnace parts manufacturing is particularly recommended. MA-X also is the most suitable material for jet engine tail pipes, afterburners , nozzle vein, cabin heaters, and other aircraft components.

Weldability/Workability

Plastic deformation is possible with MA-X. In addition, due to its good weldability, general welding with inert gas coating arc (TIG and MIG)is possible. Resistance welding can be used as well.

Heat Treatment

Wrought forms of MA-X alloy are furnished in the solution heat-treated condition unless otherwise specified. MA-X alloy is solution heat-treated and rapid cooled.

Available Product Forms

Various shapes, such as flat-rolled plates, forgings, welding wires, wires, welded pipes and tubes, seamless pipes and tubes can be manufactured.
