CTS CHILLED Tower A Series Features

CTS CHILLED Tower A Series Cooling Mechanism

In the A Series, the upper section houses a proprietary air-cooled cooling tower and the condenser of the chilling system, while the lower section houses the multiple compressors, water cooler (evaporator), control panel and other equipment.

How the chilled tower works
Chilled tower™(air-cooled type)

The chilled water returning from the load side is sent to the closed cooling coil in the upper section. Making use of external air sucked in by the fan, it is cooled here to a temperature close to the atmospheric dry-bulb temperature.

At times when the external dry-bulb temperature is low, cooling can be effected by the cooling coil alone and there is no need to run the compressor.

When the atmospheric dry-bulb temperature becomes too high for the cooling coil to function effectively on its own, the temperature is lowered to the set level by controlled activation of the necessary number of compressors, and the cooling water is sent to the load side again.

Since the inside of the air-cooled cooling tower is the condenser of the chiller, heat is emitted efficiently. The chilled water supply is maintained at the specified temperature through adjustment of the inverter control of the fan motor and of the number of compressors working, based on commands from the control panel.
